The NC School of Performing Arts welcomes you to a world designed to
cultivate, develop, enrich and stimulate the study of the arts.
Through the study of dance, martial arts, music, theatre, drama and
visual arts, knowledge, skills, discipline and character qualities will be
gained that will enrich one’s entire lifetime. Through these studies, a
legacy of gentility, compassion and care for others may be passed down
from generation to generation.
The faculty of the School of Performing Arts come from across the
country with a wealth of experience and education. The faculty have
university degrees and state educational certifications, membership in
many professional organizations and multiple years of experience.
Always striving for excellence, the faculty continues to be engaged in
professional engagements and further studies.
The NC School of Performing Arts was started by Sharon Veitch, a 30-
year veteran of the arts and professionally trained in vocals, piano and
theater. Ms. Veitch recognized the importance of proper training for
students and set about creating an environment where students would
have access to training across disciplines, particularly in underserved
areas. This multi-disciplinary approach affords students diverse
opportunities across the fields that make up the performing arts further
increasing their potential for successfully pursuing their goals in one or
more areas of the entertainment industry.
